Carson Wentz Placed on Reserve/COVID-19 List

(Fargo, ND) -- Some tough news for a former NDSU Bison quarterback trying to get back from injury.

The Indianapolis Colts have announced Monday that starting quarterback Carson Wentz will be placed on the Reserve/COVID 19 list, effective immediately.

It is unclear if Wentz tested positive for the virus, or is a possible unvaccinated close contact with someone who did test positive. The best case scenario would see Wentz return in five to seven days following multiple negative tests.

Wentz, along with teammates Ryan Kelly and Zach Pascal, are on the list and none of the three have made it public if they are vaccinated against the Coronavirus or not.

It has been another tough offseason for the former NDSU great, as he's dealt with a foot injury and underwent surgery just a few weeks ago. He was set to make a comeback to team drills this week, but that now seemingly has been put on hold for the time being.
