(Moorhead, MN) -- A Moorhead man has been charged after ramming his car into a South Moorhead home Tuesday evening.
Authorities say that at around 6:50pm, Officers responded to 405 Oak Way on a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a home, coming to rest partially inside the structure. Upon arrival, they located a 2012 Toyota SUV partially inside of a single family home. The residents were home at the time of the accident but were not injured.
The vehicle was found to be occupied by the driver and one passenger who required minor assistance from first responders to exit the vehicle. The driver and passenger declined medical treatment at the scene.
The investigation indicated the SUV had been traveling eastbound on 4th Avenue South when it failed to stop for a stop sign at Oak way. The SUV then turned southbound on Oak Way, lost control and struck the house.
The driver, 41-year-old Bebi Mwamikazi, was cited for reckless driving.
