Our November Luther Family Ford Salute to Law Enforcement honoree is Investigator Tammy Ehresman & Fargo Police Dept. Ehresman joins Steve Hallstrom to share with us why she chose to make the moved from the private sector to law enforcement and what it means to be honored for her service.

Investigator Tammy Ehresman is a native of Moorhead, MM where she graduated from Moorhead High School. Ehresman continued her education at Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated in 1997 earning a degree in criminal justice. Ehresman attended Lake Region State College in 2015 and obtained her peace officer certificate.
Ehresman began her career with The Fargo Police Department after working in the private sector for many years, serving in the Neighborhood Services Division from 2015 until 2021. In 2021, she was assigned to work in the Criminal Investigations Unit, Adult Violent Crimes at the FPD. Ehresman has been a part of the FPD Peer Support Team since 2017 and serves as a Team Lead.
In March of 2021, Ehresman joined the department Wellness Committee and spearheaded the initiative to institute and create buy-in for mandatory Mental Wellness Check-Ins for all sworn FPD personnel and well as providing multiple options to the department for Resiliency Support Therapy. Ehresman often puts in extra hours of work each week to solve cases and has a heart to serve the Fargo Community. Thank you, Investigator Ehresman, for all that you do for our community!
