(Moorhead, MN) -- We now know the name of the person killed in a homicide in Moorhead Friday.
The Moorhead Police Department says t he victim of the September 10th homicide at 17th Street and 30th Avenue South has been identified as 32-year-old Abdi Mohamed Abdi of Fargo. Abdi's preliminary autopsy states he died from gunshot wounds he received during the incident.
No suspects are in custody, and this is still a very active investigation. The Moorhead Police Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, and the MN Bureau of Investigations are currently working on several leads and details of the incident that occurred on Friday.
Anyone in the incident area who has surveillance equipment is asked to check their Friday evening footage. Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at (701) 451-7660.
