(Moorhead, MN) -- Moorhead Police are investigating a shooting in the Romney Park neighborhood.
Wednesday at 10:30 p.m, the officers responded to the 1100 block of 19th Street South for reports of shots fired. Initial reports indicated an individual may have been injured as a result of a shooting. Red River Regional Dispatch center received multiple 911 calls for the incident.
Officers arrived and identified a parking lot where the shooting had occurred. An adult victim was later located a short distance from the crime scene. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Initial information is indicating this is not a random event and the involved parties are known to each other. The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests.
