Fargo Police Make Stolen Vehicle Arrest

 

On Tuesday, at 8 a.m., Fargo Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1600 block of Dakota Drive North in Fargo.

Officers were advised a male suspect entered an apartment, stole several items, including vehicle keys, and left in the vehicle.

On Wednesday, at 1:12 a.m., officers reported locating the vehicle in the 2200 block of 13th Avenue South. The officer attempted a traffic stop, in which the driver fled and the officer did not pursue. The vehicle was again located 15 minutes later in the 2400 block of 13th Avenue South. Officers again attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled and the officer did not pursue.

Officers were then dispatched PetroServe, at 205 NP Avenue, for a report of a located stolen vehicle. As officers arrived, the driver, 22-year-old Travis Brook-Hadley, of Moorhead, began to elude officers when he saw marked squad cars.

An officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the 800 block of Broadway. Brook-Hadley drove the vehicle up onto the sidewalk and fled, but officers did not pursue. Shortly after, an officer located the vehicle on Dakota Drive North, stopped with a flat tire. Brook-Hadley saw a squad car approaching and drove northbound on Dakota Drive North. He continued to drive the vehicle eastbound onto 19th Avenue North, after losing a tire.

Officers were then authorized and did deploy a tire deflation device on 16th Street North, off of 19th Avenue North.

Brook-Hadley then drove the vehicle over the device and continued on towards airport property, where he crashed through the airport fence. Officers then conducted a pit maneuver, stopping the vheicle inside a secure area. Brook-Hadley was non-compliant and resisted arrest, before officers were able to arrest him.

He was taken into custody for two charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, two charges of fleeing in a motor vehicle, criminal trespass, aggravated reckless driving, preventing arrest, driving under suspension, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
