Lane Reduction Set to Begin Tuesday in West Fargo

Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13, crews will reduce lanes on Ninth Street East, north of Seventh Avenue East, to repair heaved concrete in the area. The repair process is estimated to take two weeks. During this time, Ninth Street East traffic will shift multiple times allowing traffic in the area to flow throughout the repair.

Beginning at 6 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 13, southbound traffic on Ninth Street East, north of Seventh Avenue East, will use the existing left-turn lane, while the southbound lane is closed. On Thursday, Aug. 15, the left-turn lane will close and all southbound traffic, including left-turn traffic, will utilize the southbound lane. Barring any complications or inclement weather, crews intend to open all lanes over the weekend and to resume work Tuesday, Aug. 20.

Starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, the northbound lane will close. Northbound traffic on Ninth Street East will use the existing turn lane and all southbound and left-turn traffic will continue to use the southbound lane.

Motorists in this area may experience delays and congestion during the morning and evening commutes and should adjust their travel plans accordingly. Always use the ‘S’ check when traveling in and around construction areas – check your speed, space and stress.
