10:25 PM UPDATE: Police Searching for 9-1-1 Caller in Walmart Incident

 

10:25 P.M. UPDATE: We now know more about the disturbance reported this afternoon at the Walmart in Dilworth. Dilworth Police Chief Ty Sharpe tells WZFG News that an investigator received 9-1-1 tape on Thursday afternoon and was able to confirm that a woman stated two men were arguing in the paint department at Walmart, and that one man pulled out a gun. The male was identified as a hispanic male, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. 

Sharpe tells WZFG News that officers have not been able to locate a suspect on video at the time the 9-1-1 call was made, but that the department has asked Walmart to expand the time frame and check entrance cameras.

Sharpe also tells WZFG News that a subpoena will be sent to the cell phone provider to gain the 9-1-1 caller's contact name and current address information of the account holder. Officers have been unable to contact the 9-1-1 caller successfully.

1 P.M. UPDATE: Valley News Live's Bailey Hurley, who is on scene in Dilworth, reports that customers and employees have been allowed back into the Dilworth Walmart, but officers remain on scene of what is being described as a disturbance, reported to the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at just before 12:20 this afternoon.
