United Way School Supply Drive Dates Set

The United Way's annual school supply drive will take place over the course of two days in the next week.

According to Kristina Hein-Landin, Marketing and Brand Management Director for the United Way of Cass-Clay, the first event will be held tomorrow, Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and the second event on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both events will be held at the FargoDome, located at 1800 North University Drive in Fargo.

Participants are asked to park in the main parking lot, enter the main doors and proceed to the second floor meeting rooms at the top of the escalator.

Any child attending K-12 school in Cass and Clay Counties are eligible to receive a backpack and supplies. Families must bring a form of identification for each child receiving supplies, and must complete a registration form, which is available at the door at the FargoDome.

The goal is to help 6,000 local students this year, according to the United Way of Cass-Clay. Last year, 6,097 local students were provided a backpack and set of school supplies through the drive.

Anyone wishing to donate to the cause may do so through the United Way's website.
