Drug Investigation Leads to Downtown Arrest

The Fargo Police Department Narcotics Unit has been conducting a drug investigation in regards to an individual believed to be trafficking methamphetamine, in addition to other drugs, over the course of the last several months. The suspect was identified as George Allen Schultz, 52 years old from Fargo. During this time, they received information that Schultz was living and selling drugs in apartments above the Empire Bar and Liquor store in downtown Fargo.

The Fargo Police Narcotics Unit conducted multiple operations in which they were able to conduct controlled purchases of methamphetamine from Schultz in his apartment. Arrest warrants were then issued for Schultz, and today the US Marshals were able to arrest him at his apartment in downtown Fargo with the assistance of the Fargo Police Narcotics Unit, downtown resource officers and the downtown patrol sergeant.

Search warrants were also conducted at the apartment following the arrest in an effort to locate any additional illegal narcotics and/or paraphernalia. The Fargo Police Department investigation was a joint effort with the US Marshals and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Schultz is facing two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine (B Felony) and Delivery of an Imitation Controlled Substance (C Felony).

The Narcotics Unit received many tips from concerned citizens and the downtown patrol officers regarding this activity which helped to build a solid investigation. The Fargo Police Department continues to ask for your help by reporting suspicious activity you see in your neighborhoods.
