Body Recovered From Lake Bemidji Identified

The body recovered from Lake Bemidji on Wednesdayhas been identified, according to the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.

Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Beltrami County Coroner have positively identified the deceased female as Amber R. Jackson, age 32, of Cass Lake, Minnesota.

According to Ernie Beitel, Chief Deputy Sheriff in Beltrami County, the preliminary cause of death is drowning. There is no evidence of trauma. He says Further testing by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office is pending as Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office investigators continue to gather information.
