Senator Kevin Cramer joined other dignitaries at a ground breaking ceremony yesterday for Aldevron, a biotechnology production company expanding their business in Fargo.
Cramer discussed streamlining the regulatory process for biotech innovation and promoting values based payment models. Aldevron, started at NDSU, was founded by John Ballantyne and Michael Chambers. The company became known for inventing and manufacturing the Manufacturing Practice Source quality system, and for specializing in GMP manufacturing.
The ground breaking was the first phase of Aldevron’s planned 189,000 square foot expansion which, when completed, will allow the company to employ over 1,000 workers.
