City of Fargo to reduce driving lanes on 45th Street South, 13th Avenue South

Beginning on Wednesday, August 21, at 3 a.m., contractors will reduce driving lanes on 45th Street South and 13th Avenue South to repair the roadway in the center of the intersection. Crews will begin assembling traffic control late Tuesday evening and the lane closures will be in place by early Wednesday morning.

Once traffic controls are in place, motorists will encounter the following:

  • Southbound traffic will be reduced from three lanes to one.
  • Westbound will be reduced from three lanes to two.
  • All turn lane movements will remain open but the number of turn lanes will be reduced.

The repair is expected to take one day and the pavement will need up to five days to cure. Once the concrete has reached the design strength, the lanes will be reopened to traffic.
