FPS sees slight enrollment increase on first day

 

The Fargo Public Schools 2019-20 First Day Enrollment numbers are in.

According to documents provided by the school district, 11,513 students enrolled on the first day at the school district, with the two biggest enrollments being 1,308 students at Fargo Davies High School and 1,108 at Discovery Middle School.

The first day enrollment numbers are up in comparison to the first day enrollment in 2018, by zero-point-six percent. On first day in 2018, 11,445 students were enrolled. The 2019 enrollment numbers are 309 more than on May 1 of this year, according to records provided by Fargo Public Schools.

The largest class on the first day was Kindergarten, where 14 schools had a total of 960 students, edging out the seventh grade class, with 959 students enrolled on day one.

Madison Elementary School saw the largest percentage increase in students, with a 17-point-eight percent increase, from 118 students to 139.

Woodrow Wilson saw the largest decrease in students, with a 17-point-one percent decrease, from 146 students in 2018 to 121 students in 2019.
