Pair Arrested For Burglaries

The Fargo Police Department arrested two individuals in connection with an early morning burglary.

According to the P-D, officers were dispatched to the area of 2600 36th Avenue South on a reported burglary in progress at 1:34 a.m. Friday.

Officers arrived on scene, and set up a perimeter around the garages, eventually making entry into the garages. When entering the garages, police made contact with the suspects, who were hiding, without incident.

Arrested were 20-year-old Heather Marissa Badar, of Moorhead, and 19-year-old Alexander Dean Wilkie, with no permanent address. Badar and Wilkie were arrested on eight different charges of burglary at eight different garages, spanned across three different apartment complexes in the area.

The P-D says the pair made entry to the garages by crossing the wires on the keypad access. They then climbed through the rafters and into the next unit.

The P-D cautions residents who have keypad access to learn how to harden the wires to the keypads.
