Sheyenne Street Segment 3 project limit residential access changes begin Tuesday

Beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, local access will change for the north neighborhood areas east of Sheyenne Street in the Segment 3 project limits (32nd Avenue West to 40th Avenue West). Due to paving operations, crews will switch local neighborhood access to use the intersection of Horseshoe Circle and Sheyenne Street. Previously local access was maintained at the Sheyenne Street intersections of 34th Avenue West and Golden Spike.

When the traffic shift occurs, to reach the east side Sheyenne Street neighborhoods:

  • NORTH ACCESS: The north neighborhoods residential access will shift from 34th Avenue West and Golden Spike intersection to use of Horseshoe Circle to travel in and out of the neighborhood.
    • Motorists will travel to the posted detour route on Ninth Street to head north to 32nd Avenue West or south to 40th Avenue West.
  • SOUTH ACCESS: The south neighborhoods will continue to use the south entrance at 38th Avenue West.
    • Motorists will travel to the posted detour route on Ninth Street to head north to 32nd Avenue West or south to 40th Avenue West.

Motorists should plan for delays and congestion during the morning and evening commutes and adjust their travel plans accordingly throughout the Sheyenne Street corridor.

As work progresses through the Sheyenne Street corridor, drivers are encouraged to eliminate distractions and slow down as work zone configurations may frequently shift.
