Enrollment grows at West Fargo Public School

 

First day of school enrollment numbers show that West 'Fargo Public Schools is continuing to experience unprecedented growth for North Dakota.

Students, with the exception of kindergarten and Harwood Elementary School, reported for class today and preliminary reports show that 11,501 students were registered for the first day.

While official enrollment numbers for kindergarten students will not be available until after kindergarten begins on Thursday, August 29, this number does include the already record-breaking 1,043 kindergarteners registered for the year. Additionally, the start date at Harwood Elementary School is pushed back to September 3 due to on-going construction, but the reported number does include the tentative 129 students registered to start there next week.

For the first day of school in 2018-2019, West Fargo Public Schools reported an enrollment of 10,081 students. The addition of 420 students in one year is keeping in line with district projections that show an anticipated growth of 400 – 600 students per year, through 2025.

With Fargo Public Schools already publishing their first day of school enrollment, West Fargo Public Schools is still the third largest district in the state of North Dakota.
