Robbery At Grand Forks Menards

 

The Grand Forks Police Department is actively searching for one suspect in an armed robbery of the Grand Forks Menards store, located at 3550 32ndAvenue South.

According to the Grand Forks Police Department, the incident occurred at 7:55 p.m. Sunday.

Initial investigation determined an unknown male entered the business, selected multiple items and put them in a cart.  The male then exited the store without paying for the items.  Menards staff confronted the male suspect and at that time he displayed a knife.  The suspect then fled the area in a 2001 Ford Escape driven by a second male.  Officers located the vehicle and driver who was identified as 55 year old Stacey Charles of Grand Forks.  Charles was subsequently arrested for conspiracy to commit robbery. 

The original suspect is still missing. He is described as a Native American male, 5’9” and approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, tan baseball hat and light colored plaid shorts. 

No injuries were reported.

A subsequent search of the area yielded no sign of the first suspect.
