Burgum to speak at Fargo National Cemetery dedication, attend National Guard ceremony

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will be in Fargo on Saturday.

He will deliver remarks at the 11 a.m. Fargo National Cemetery dedication. The National Cemetery is the first Department of Veterans Affairs national cemetery built in North Dakota, and is part of the VA National Cemetery Administration's Rural Initiative, which provides access to VA burial benefits for veterans who live in rural areas.

Later, he will attend a ceremony celebrating the promotion of National Guard Col. Robert Schulte to brigadier general, upon the retirement of Brigadier General Robert Becklund.
