Grand Forks crash sends one to the hospital

Grand Forks Police say one person was injured and transported to Altru Hospital after an accident Monday morning.

At approximately 7:33 a.m., police were dispatched to an injury accident at 4th Avenue South and Chestnut Street. The investigation showed that a 2003 Pontiac, driven by Mary Hunter, of Grand Forks, was eastbound on 4th Avenue South, when she slowed to turn left onto Chestnut Street. A 2008 Cadillac, driven by a 15-year-old male, was also eastbound on 4th Avenue South.

The Cadillac struck the rear of the Pontiac.

Hunter was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance, and the 15-year-old driver, nor his 14-year-old passenger, were injured.

The 15-year-old driver was cited for Care Required.

Both vehicles were towed due to damage.
