Montgomerie, Parnevik and Lyle Commit to Sanford International

 

PGA TOUR Champions golfers Colin MontgomerieJesper Parnevik and Sandy Lylehave officially committed to playing in the inaugural Sanford International Presented by Cambria.

As a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, Montgomerie brings an impressive resume to the Sanford International. Montgomerie, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, has won over 90 tournaments worldwide, including capturing the Senior PGA Championship twice. He was a member of nine Ryder Cup teams, including being the captain of the 2010 team. Montgomerie received Member of the British Empire (MBE) from H.M. the Queen in 1998 and Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2005 from Prince Charles.

Parnevik is a Stockholm, Sweden, native, five-time PGA TOUR champion, winner of the 2016 Insperity Invitational and member of the 1997, 1999 and 2002 Ryder Cup teams. Parnevik is known for wearing the bill of his cap turned up while playing and for his distinct golf attire. Parnevik has his own reality TV show, "Parneviks," which is filmed in Florida and airs in Sweden.

Winner of the 1985 Open Championship, 1988 Masters and five-time Ryder Cup member, Sandy Lyle is officially committed to the Sanford International. He was awarded Member of British Empire after becoming the first British winner of the Masters. Lyle is also known for being the Sunday playing partner of Jack Nicklaus when Nicklaus won his 18th and final major.

Thanks to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety and Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort, all First Responders as well as Active, Reserve and Retired U.S. Military personnel and one guest will receive FREE admission each day Friday – Sunday at the 2018 Sanford International.
