Closures planned for Highway 113 culvert replacement starting this week

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be replacing a culvert on Highway 113 between mile markers 43 and 44 near Bad Medicine Lake.

Starting Thursday, motorists will encounter shoulder closures through the weekend as crews begin de-watering the work site. On Monday, Sept. 16, weather permitting, Highway 113 will close and traffic will be detoured to County Road 39, Highway 200 and Highway 71. The project is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

Local access will be maintained for those who live along Highway 113, but the road will be impassable at the culvert location.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution and reminds them to never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
