Sen. Hoeven issues statement on 9/11 anniversary

Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Committee, today released the following statement in observance of the 18th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks committed against the United States.

“Although eighteen years have passed, the details of that day have not faded from our citizens’ memory,” said Hoeven. “On this anniversary, we honor those who lost their lives on this tragic day in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. and continue to hold their loved ones in our hearts. Further, we will never forget the true heroism displayed by our first responders in the face of immense danger, and we express our lasting gratitude to the servicemembers and their families who’ve supported the fight against terrorism and protected our freedoms and this great nation in the days since.”
