Fargo North to celebrate homecoming week

 

North High School will crown their Homecoming King Sparta the 41th and Queen Sparta the 55th on Monday, September 16 in a coronation ceremony that begins at 10:05 a.m. The coronation is part of 2019 Homecoming activities. The student body cast their votes the previous week for King and Queen from amongst the nominated Homecoming Court. Monday’s coronation will begin with a presentation parade of all the court members. The coronation announcement will be a surprise to all in attendance.

The school’s Homecoming theme this year is “Road Trip: All Roads Lead North”

Fargo North 2019 Homecoming Court members (all senior students) are:

Queen Candidates (12):  Kate Dufault, Alisha Geske, Brita Griffin, Andrea Hinkley, Isabella Horn, Ellen Kenninger, Gabrielle Kramer, Andrea McClary, Nina Meyers, Cailey Swanson, Ella Walen, Julia Zachariason.

King Candidates (12):  Blayne Anderson, Nicholas Crommett, Peyton Fisher, Caleb Fritel, Gunnar Hager, Jacob Harmon, Samuel Harmon, Shawn McClary, Justin Milliard, Carter Peratt, Tate Schloesser, Jaden Zander.

Homecoming Activities include:

  • Daily “Dress Up” Themes for each school day of the week, Monday, September 16 – Friday, September 20.  
  • Homecoming Coronation on Monday, September 16 at 10:05 a.m. in the SpartanDome.
  • All-School Outdoor Picnic on Wednesday, September 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. during regular lunch periods. Sponsored by North High Booster Club and Student Council; administrators will grill hotdogs.
  • All-School Pep Fest held on Friday, September 20 at 2:30 p.m. in the SpartanDome, including recognition of the 2019 North High Hall of Fame members:  Amanda Aslakson; Joe Deutsch; Tom Astrup; Hebe Shipp.
  • Homecoming Football Game on Friday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. at FargoDome. The Spartans’ opponent will be Sheyenne High School. North’s 19th Ave Jazz group will perform the National Anthem. The Spartacas Dance team will perform the halftime entertainment.
  • Homecoming Dance for North students and guests on Friday, September 20 from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the Fitness Center Gymnasium.
  • 2019 Hall of Fame Celebration on Saturday, September 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the NDSU Alumni Center. (Reservations required; tickets pre-sold.)
