The Fargo Fire Department says a Monday house fire has caused heavy damage.

Fargo firefighters responded to a report of a house fire located at 702 2nd St N.  Upon arrival firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions involving the back side of the home.  Three individuals were home at the time of the fire and all were able to exit the home safely prior to the fire departments arrival.

Within 15 minutes of arrival, firefighters were able to get the fire under control.

One of the residents in the home was home at the time of the fire. The resident attempted to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, but the effort was not successful.
