Grand Forks Police respond to disturbance involving gun

 

Grand Forks Police responded to a report of a disturbance involving a male subject, who was reported to have a gun.

The call came into dispatch at 8:13 p.m. to 404 Oak Street.

When officers arrived, they made contact with a male victim, who reported a physical altercation had occurred with a person known to him. The victim displayed a firearm to defend himself and diffuse the situation, which caused the suspect to flee.

The suspect has not been located, as of 11:30 p.m., but the incident appears to be an isolated incident, and there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to public safety.

The Grand Forks County Sheriff's Office assisted.
