'Walk for Vision' to Raise Money for NDAB Service Programs is Happening Tuesday, October 15

North Dakota Association of the Blind (NDAB) invites and encourages your participation as we host our 21st annual "Walk for Vision" on Tuesday, October 15; October 15 is  designated as White Cane Safety Day. In acknowledgment of the white cane and all that it symbolizes, on October 6, 1964, a joint resolution of Congress authorized the President to designate October 15 of each year as “White Cane Safety Day.”

This year’s Walk for Vision will be held at the NDSU Lutheran Center located a half a block east of the NDSU Campus in Fargo at 1201 13th Ave. N. Registration begins at 4 P.m. at the Center’s main entry area. A minimum Donation of $10 is suggested. All proceeds from the walk/Run will go towards funding the service programs that NDAB offers to people who have visual impairments. Also, donations can be made online by going to the NDAB website, www.ndab.org. For more details call Walk Chair Allan Peterson at 701-429-7209 or Email him at allan [dot] petersonatndsu [dot] edu.
