Incidents Reported in West Fargo

The West Fargo Police Department is reminding residents to refrain from swimming in the Sheyenne River.

According to the department, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Sheyenne Street on a report of a male stuck in the mud. The report came into West Fargo Police at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday.

Upon arriving the male was able to exit the mud under his own power. No injuries were reported from the juvenile male. He was released to his parents.

While on the scene of the first call, officers received a call to the opposite side of the bridge, where 52-year-old Dean Eversen, was in a motorcycle accident.

Police say Eversen was going too fast to negotiate the turn on Christenson Parkway, lost control and came to rest on the bank of the diversion.

Eversen was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, and was transported to the Cass County Jail.

Eversen was not injured in the accident.
