Officer James Ellefson
Ellefson is from Ada, MN where he graduated from Ada-Borup High School in 2004. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead. He completed the 10 week police skills program through Alexandria Technical College. Prior to being hired by West Fargo Police Department as a Patrol Officer in August 2018, he was a Deputy Sheriff in Adams County for a year in a half and Morton County for five in half years, in which two in a half years he was a K-9 handler.
When not working he enjoys golfing, lake activities, playing with his twin daughters, and snowboarding. He is married with three children.
