On Tuesday, October 8 from 12:45 to 2:00 p.m., the top 24 student fundraisers from the Centennial Elementary School Walk-A-Thon will go on a field trip to kick off their Adopt-A-School partnership with Eventide Nursing Home.
As part of the Adopt-A-School partnership, Centennial Elementary School will work with Eventide Nursing Home in Fargo, ND throughout the year on various projects. To celebrate their first event together, students and senior citizens will go on horse carriage rides around the Eventide parking lot, and snack on cookies and juice. This event is a kickoff to the year-long partnership Centennial students will have with the residents.
The Fargo Public Schools Development Foundation oversees the Fargo Public Schools Adopt-A-School program. Twenty-one schools and programs have assigned business partners in our community. The program has been in operation since 2001.
