WFPS Names New Special Education Coordinators

 

It is with great pleasure that Ms. Karen Nickel, Director of Special Education, announces Mrs. Leah Green and Mrs. Jamie Svor have each accepted a special education coordinator position with West Fargo Public Schools.

Mrs. Green holds a Master’s in Special Education from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor’s in Special Education from Minnesota State University - Moorhead. She started her career in education in 2007 as a special education teacher for Lake Park Audubon Public Schools. In 2008, Mrs. Green accepted a special education teaching position for Moorhead Public schools and worked in the district until coming to West Fargo Public Schools in 2014. She has since been a special education teacher at Independence Elementary School.

Mrs. Svor holds a Master’s in Special Education from Minnesota State University - Moorhead and a Bachelor’s in Elementary & Special Education from Minnesota State University - Moorhead. She started her career in education in 2005 as a special education teacher for Wilmot Public School. Mrs. Svor has been a special education teacher with West Fargo Public Schools since 2006.

Both Mrs. Green and Mrs. Svor will immediately transition into their new role as a special education coordinator.
