On Tuesday, approximately 50 Elementary Education teacher candidates from Valley City State University (VCSU at NDSU) will be conducting a Science Fair for students at Bennett Elementary School from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The goal of the science fair is for students to develop a curiosity for the sciences, as well as an overall inspiration for learning.
VCSU teacher candidates currently enrolled in ‘Science Methods for Elementary Teachers’ are designing projects within an inquiry-based instructional approach. This strategy emphasizes critical thinking and effective questioning techniques. Bennett Elementary students in grades 1-5 will interact with VCSU teacher candidates through scientific questions, explorations, and simulations in a fun and creative environment.
