A West Fargo teacher has received a professional development grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts.
Ashley Smalley, an art teacher at West Fargo's Liberty Middle School, was awarded a $955 grant.
The Council's professional development grant program is designed to benefit artists by providing financial assistance for informational and educational opportunities relating to the arts and arts development.
The grant will allow Smalley and her colleague, Sarah Dotzenrod, to attend the National Art Education Association Conference in Minneapolis.
