DGF School referendum passes

Preliminary numbers from the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District's referendum vote show that the referendum passed.

According to the school district, the vote passed with 742 yes votes, or 54 percent of the total vote, to 632 no votes, or 46 percent of the total vote.

The project will provide continued safety and security for students, staff and the community; ensure equity and alignment, by providing space for natural enrollment growth, due to increased households in the District; and provide functional space to continue and enhance 21st Century Learning to prepare students for life readiness.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2020, with completion set for the fall of 2021.
