Lake Agassiz Habitat participating in the Great MN Give-together

Lake Agassiz Habitat has announced it will partner with nonprofit organization GiveMN to participate in Give to the Max Day, Minnesota’s homegrown giving holiday, on Thursday, Nov. 14. The annual 24-hour online fundraiser, now in its 11th year, has raised more than $170 million for more than 10,000 Minnesota-based causes. Donors can visit GiveMN.org to find a cause they care about, and donate anytime from November 1 to 14.

LAFHF has participated in Give to the Max Day since 2012. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 which will pay for the foundation on one of our 2020 builds. We have secured $8,000 in matching funds to help inspire donations.

“We love Give to the Max Day” said Pete Christopher,  Resource Development Manager of Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity. ”Our donors love being a part of something so big and impactful to our mission and the other great non-profits and schools that are participating.”

In addition, GiveMN and its partners will award $100,000 in prizes to nonprofits and schools through Golden Ticket drawings. Event organizers work with funders and partners each year to plan Give to the Max Day as a celebration of the important work nonprofits and schools do in Minnesota communities.

“Give to the Max Day has become the Minnesota giving holiday for the past ten years,” said Jake Blumberg, executive director of GiveMN. “For 24 hours, thousands of organizations and individuals rally to support amazing and important causes that make Minnesota a great place to live, work and play.”
