NDAREC receives $200k USDA Rural Cooperative Development Grant

U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Rural Development (RD) awarded a grant totaling $200,000 to the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (NDAREC) located in Mandan.

This investment, approved under the Rural Cooperative Development Grant program, will be used to provide technical assistance to cooperatives and mutually owned businesses as part of an effort to serve rural areas in North Dakota. NDAREC works with the state’s network of electric cooperatives to provide a complete package of quality services in communications, government relations, safety training, professional development, and economic development. NDAREC provided an additional $73,973 to complete the project.
