Kyle Nelson was 20 years old when he lost his life in a rollover crash five years ago. He was not wearing his seat belt. The Nelson family keeps Kyle’s memory alive by sharing his story on social media and Vision Zero’s Crash Memorial Wall.
As a way to recognize World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims on Sunday, November 18, the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) invites those who have lost a loved one in a motor vehicle crash on a North Dakota road to remember and honor them by creating an online memorial.
The award-winning Crash Memorial Wall was built on the hope of preventing another death on North Dakota roads. Launched in 2015, the virtual wall contains 21 memorials that have been created by victims’ families.
