Northern Valley school steps up security following shooting threat

A Northern Valley school district has received word of a possible school shooting threat.

Hillsboro Public School Superintendent Paula Suda tells WZFG News that Hillsboro parents were notified Sunday that there were rumors of a threat.

Suda says the school district has thoroughly investigated the threat and maintains the threat was not credible. The security resource officer will be on school grounds to maintain the safety and security of students and staff.
