Associa Sponsors 35th National Night Out and Promotes Community Safety

Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, is a national sponsor of the 35th annual National Night Out (NNO) campaign, which promotes community safety, neighborhood camaraderie, and crime prevention.

NNO is an annual community-building movement that encourages law enforcement and community partnerships on the first Tuesday in August, with Texas celebrating on the first Tuesday in October. Neighborhoods will band together to show support for one another and take a symbolic stand against crime in their communities.

Volunteers will be organizing block parties, festivals, parades and cookouts across all fifty states, U.S. territories, and military bases that will include safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, and visits from local law enforcement and emergency personnel. The events will continue to help raise awareness and enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement to bring back a true sense of community.

On Tuesday, August 7th, Associa employees, volunteers, and mascot Scout will join Associa Supports Kids (ASK) to attend more than 158 events nationwide. The events will take place throughout Associa and non-Associa managed communities to help build positive relationships and strengthen neighborhood spirit. They will be distributing kid-friendly items, including Scout’s safety-tips coloring and activity booklets, bright yellow “Safe & Strong” silicon wristbands, and ChildPrint ID kits for parents.

“NNO is a great way to build relationships with your neighbors, local community leaders and law enforcement personnel,” stated Annette Ratliff, Associa community liaison and director of corporate citizenship. “This is the seventh consecutive year that Associa has sponsored and participated in National Night Out, and we are excited to attend even more events than we did last year. This campaign is more important than ever. At Associa, we strongly support community-driven efforts to build those relationships that help make every community stronger, safer, and a better place to live.”
