NDSU Opera presents Handel’s masterpiece Julius Caesar

NDSU Opera is offering a rare opportunity to hear Handel’s masterpiece Julius Caesar, which will be presented with the Baroque Festival orchestra under the direction of Virginia Sublett. Sung in Italian in a semi-staged version.

Handel's score brings to life the classic tale of Julius Caesar and his conquest of Egypt with Queen Cleopatra and her brother King Tolomeo, while his political captives the Romans, Sesto and his mother Cornelia, seek vengeance and justice for Tolomeo's murder of Pompey, Sesto’s father.

Tickets are available at the door. $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and non-NDSU students, NDSU students free with NDSU I.D.
