Sen. Cramer highlights the global impact of local leaders in keynote address to USGLC's “America’s Global Leadership” event

U.S. Senator and Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) member Kevin Cramer (R-ND) delivered the keynote address for the “America’s Global Leadership” event hosted by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) at the Fargo Air Museum today. In his remarks, Senator Cramer stressed the impact local leaders can have on the world stage.

“While we recognize leading globally matters locally, the global impact of our local leaders is just as important. Being global leaders is not only about benefiting ourselves, but also spreading our local values across the world,” said Senator Cramer. “Thank you to USGLC for the important work you do locally, in Washington, and around the world.”

After his remarks, Senator Cramer participated in a panel discussion with United States Air Force Ret. Lt. Gen. Richard Newton and Cargill Vice President Jock Scharfen. There, Senator Cramer answered questions about serving on SASC, the economic importance of reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank, and why energy security means national security.
