We have an update on the missing persons case out of Stutsman County.
According to Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser, the 63-year-old Buchanan woman’s vehicle was recovered from a slough, where it was submerged.
Kaiser tells WZFG News that the body of Sonia Heinle was not in the vehicle. He did say it appears that she was able to lower a window and get out of the vehicle, as it was found with one window open.
Kaiser says the sheriff’s office will continue doing work with their remote-operated vehicle, using sonar, on Thursday.
