Walsh County man dies in single-vehicle rollover

 

A 35-year-old Walsh County man has died as a result of a single-vehicle rollover Friday morning.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the call came in at approximately 10:15 a.m. Friday, for a roll-over south of Park River. A 2004 Cadillac Escalade, driven by a 35-year-old Pisek man, was south on 134th Avenue Northeast, when it left the roadway to the right and entered the west ditch and drove into a field. The vehicle continued to travel to the southwest, until it vaulted over a railroad embankment.

At that time, the vehicle overturned and came to rest upside down.

The driver died at the scene. His identity is being withheld, pending notification of family.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
