City of Fargo schedules for Christmas week governmental services

The City of Fargo offices, Fargo Cass Public Health, Fargo Public Libraries, MATBUS routes and garbage & recycling collections will be impacted by the December 25 Christmas holiday. The following closures and service changes will be in effect from Tuesday, Dec. 24 through Thursday, Dec. 26.

Tuesday, Dec. 24:

·         City offices and Fargo Cass Public Health: Close at 12 noon

·         Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closes at 12 noon

·         MATBUS: All routes end at 5:15 p.m., Ground Transportation Center (GTC) closes at 5:30 p.m.

·         Garbage and recycling collections: Regular routes

·         Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Regular hours

Wednesday, Dec. 25:

·         City offices and Fargo Cass Public Health: Closed

·         Fargo Public Library (all branches): Closed

·         MATBUS: No services

·         Garbage and recycling collections: Wednesday routes will be collected on Thursday

·         Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Closed​
Thursday, Dec. 26:

·         City offices and Fargo Cass Public Health: Regular hours

·         Fargo Public Library (all branches): Regular hours

·         MATBUS: Regular routes and hours

·         Garbage and recycling collections: Regular routes resume, Wednesday routes will be collected on Thursday

·         Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility: Regular hours

Residents are asked to flatten and recycle their cardboard boxes this holiday season by simply placing them into their recycling bins or at one of Fargo’s many drop site locations.  The City cannot accept wrapping paper in its recycling program and asks residents to place these materials in the trash.
