Multiple streets closed in West Fargo

Due to significant snow accumulation from blowing and drifting snow, the following sections of road are blocked and impassable in West Fargo:

·         12th Avenue N. and Ninth Street NE intersection

·         Westbound 26th Avenue W. between Sheyenne Street and Ninth Street W.

·         26th Avenue W. and Fourth Avenue E. intersection near Freedom Elementary School

Areas on the outskirts of town are also experiencing significant snow accumulation on roads due to blowing and drifting snow. Crews are working to open those up as possible. Motorists should not attempt to travel on these roads until further notice. Crews will return to these streets as soon as the wind ceases and expects to have them reopened some time Monday.

Motorists should not attempt to travel on any road they encounter that appears to have deep, drifted snow as they may become stuck. Those who must travel should ensure they have proper clothing, a full tank of gas and winter survival gear in the vehicle before leaving.
