Fargo Public Schools to remain closed Monday

Due to snow accumulation and road conditions, Fargo Public Schools closes all buildings for Monday, December 30.  This closure includes all schools, the Operations Center and the District Office.  Other than snow removal staff persons, staff members are not to report to work on Monday, December 30.  All extra-curricular activities and practices are cancelled during this time.  No building rentals will occur during this closure.

While the City of Fargo is lifting the No Travel Advisory in Fargo at noon, they have expressed 19th Avenue North will remain closed for the foreseeable future until wind speeds decrease and that removing snow from neighborhood roads in the far southern areas of Fargo is proving challenging, with City snowplows unable to move the amount of snow blown into these developments.  Additionally, Fargo Public Schools snow removal crews need time to clear sidewalks and parking lots at our buildings.  Keeping all buildings closed will allow for faster clean up after the winter storm.

Fargo Public Schools anticipates an on-time opening on Tuesday, December 31 for staff members.
