I-29 closed from Fargo to South Dakota border

 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) have CLOSED I-29 northbound and southbound lanes from Fargo to the South Dakota Border due to high winds and falling snow creating zero visibility and snow drifts. The road may be impassible or blocked. Motorists are not allowed to travel on a closed road due to life threatening conditions.

  • ND Hwy 13 is CLOSED from I-29 to Wahpeton due to strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow, near-zero visibility, and life-threatening driving conditions. The road may be impassible or blocked. Motorists are not allowed to travel on a CLOSED roads due to life threatening conditions.
     
  • No Travel Advised is still in effect for Casselton, Fargo, Wahpeton, Lisbon, and surrounding areas. Motorists should not travel due to hazardous conditions which may make it unsafe to travel.
     
  • Travel Alerts are in effect for northeastern and south central North Dakota including Grand Forks, Pembina, Jamestown, Ellendale, Valley City, Hillsboro, and surrounding areas due to blowing snow causing reduced visibility, slippery conditions making driving hazardous.
