On January 26, at approximately 9:37 p.m., Grand Forks County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an individual who had been shot inside a residence in Northwood.
Upon arrival, lifesaving measures were taken, however the 15 year old male victim did not survive. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Upon initial investigation, deputies arrested a female suspect at the residence. She has been identified as Samantha Wilson, 32, of Northwood.
Deputies arrested Wilson upon suspicion of Murder and Contact by Bodily Fluids upon a Law Enforcement Officer. Wilson is being held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
The Northwood Police Department, Northwood Ambulance, and the North Dakota Highway Patrol assisted the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office on scene. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the investigation.
This incident remains under investigation.
