The Fargo Police Department says they have been receiving multiple calls today regarding a scam where the person calling is from a spoofed Fargo Police Department phone number (701-235-4493) and identifying themselves as a Fargo Police Department or DEA representative calling about the person's social security and an warrant.
They are asking for payment over the phone.
Police advise to not provide them any information and hang up immediately.
