Hoeven Announces More Than $8.2 Million for Victims of Crime in North Dakota

Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded two grants totaling $8,230,751 to the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The funds are awarded from the Crime Victims Fund, with $162,000 set aside for the state to compensate victims of crime and the remainder will be dispersed to community organizations that provide direct services to victims.

“Today’s funding will help victims of crime access important services that will help them with their recovery,” Hoeven said.
